Who We Are

Our name, Ganawendan Aki, means “Those who watch over Mother Earth” in Ojibway - a reflection of our commitment to guardianship, respect and responsibility.

Ganawendan Aki Environmental is an Indigenous-owned partnership between Wabigoon Lake Ojibway Nation (WLON) and KGS Group, established to ensure projects within WLON territory are carried out with respect for the land and Anishinaabe values. We bring together WLON’s cultural leadership and KGS Group’s technical expertise to deliver environmental services that are scientifically sound and culturally informed.

With offices in WLON near Dryden, Ontario and Winnipeg, Manitoba, we serve clients across WLON territory and the Treaty Three area.
